Our Cauliflower Taco: The Unexpected Menu Item Everyone Should Try
Of everything on our menu, the Cauliflower Crunch Tacos are probably the item most likely to surprise someone. Cauliflower doesn't sound like taco filling on paper — but it's become a genuine star ingredient in modern vegetarian and vegan cooking, and once you understand why, it makes complete sense.
Why Cauliflower Works in a Taco
The trick is texture. When cauliflower is battered and fried properly, the exterior turns wonderfully crisp and craggy — genuinely crunchy, not soft or mushy — while the inside stays tender with a mild, slightly nutty flavour that takes on whatever sauce or spice it's paired with. That combination — crunchy outside, tender inside, flavour-neutral enough to carry bold toppings — is exactly what you want from taco filling. It's a big part of why cauliflower tacos have become a fixture on vegan and vegetarian menus everywhere, not just ours.
What's Actually in Ours
Our Cauliflower Crunch Tacos are served in soft taco shells, piled with colourful fresh toppings — shredded cabbage, tomato, coriander — and finished with our house sauces. They're fully vegan, and deliberately mild: this isn't a fiery, adventurous dish, it's an approachable one. That's intentional. It's the taco we'd recommend to someone who's skeptical about vegan food in general, or who's never had Indian-inspired food and wants an easy, low-risk entry point.
The Rest of the Taco Section
If you've tried the cauliflower version and want something bolder, the other two tacos on our menu go in a spicier, more tandoori-forward direction: Tandoori Paneer Tacos and Tandoori Soya Tacos, both built around tandoori-marinated fillings with real char and smoke.
