Your Questions About Our Menu, Answered

A few things come up often enough — in person, and in messages — that they deserve straight, specific answers rather than a vague "mostly." Here they are.

Is Indian Burger Joint fully vegetarian and vegan?

Our full menu is vegetarian, and a large portion is vegan or vegan on request (look for the leaf tag). A handful of vegetarian items use a white sauce that contains egg — we tag those "Contains Egg" individually, since strict Indian vegetarian tradition doesn't include egg the way Western vegetarian labelling does. Check the tags on an item before ordering if any of these distinctions matter to you.

Is the Vada Pav vegan?

Not by default, but it can be made vegan on request — just ask, or look for the "Vegan on request" tag on the menu. Three of our other burgers (Chipotle Bean, Golden Falafel, Crispy Tofu) are vegan without needing to ask.

Is paneer vegetarian?

Yes. Paneer is fresh, unaged cheese made by curdling milk with something acidic — lemon juice or vinegar — not rennet, so it's vegetarian-safe by any standard. It's not vegan though, since it's still dairy.

What is chaat?

Chaat is the umbrella term for India's savoury street-food snacks — usually a mix of crunchy elements (puris, sev, papdi), something soft (potato, chickpeas, yogurt), and a hit of tangy-sweet-spicy chutneys, all eaten together in one bite. We have nine chaats on the menu.

Is the pizza vegan?

Not currently — we can't yet reliably source vegan cheese, so none of our pizzas are offered vegan or vegan-on-request right now. If vegan pizza matters to you, our vegan burgers, tacos, and wraps are the better bet in the meantime.

Do you deliver?

We're pickup only — no delivery. Order ahead online for pickup, or walk in; we'll text you when your order's ready.

What does "2-Taste" (Half & Half) pizza mean?

Pick any two pizzas from our lineup and we'll bake half of each onto one pizza — priced from whichever two you choose, not a flat rate. It's the easiest way to try two things in one visit instead of committing to just one.
