"Aloo" means potato, "tikki" means a small round patty or croquette. Our tikkis are made from boiled mashed potatoes seasoned with cumin, coriander, and green chilli, then pan-fried to a golden crisp outside while staying soft inside. Two or three tikkis are plated and dressed chaat-style: chole on top (the same thick, boldly spiced chickpea curry as the Samosa Chaat), cool whipped yogurt, sweet tamarind chutney, and green mint chutney, with a squeeze of lemon and a dusting of chaat masala. More substantial than most chaats — this one can be a light meal in itself.
